Kalki 2898 AD worldwide box office collection day 4: The film, which released in theatres last week, has been minting money across the globe. As per the film’s team, the multilingual 3D spectacle has entered the ₹500 crore club within four days of its global release.

On Monday, the film’s official handle, X (formerly Twitter), announced the latest numbers. They shared a poster showcasing Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and other cast members with the caption, “₹555 crore GBOC (four days worldwide)

The caption read, “555 CRORES & counting…(collision emoji). The BIGGEST FORCES are dominating the GLOBAL BOX OFFICE, show no signs of slowing down (high voltage emoji). #Kalki2898AD #EpicBlockbusterKalki.

Fans Praise ‘Epic Blockbuster’

In response to the announcement, fans expressed their excitement. One fan tweeted, “Pure destruction #Kalki2898AD,” while another hailed it as an “EPIC BLOCKBUSTER.” A tweet described it as a “Box office bulldozer” and celebrated it as the “King of Indian cinemas.” Previously known as Project K, the film is reportedly the most expensive feature film in Indian cinema history.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, this post-apocalyptic film is inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898 AD. It blends elements of the Hindu epic Mahabharata with science fiction. Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the big-budget film was released on Thursday in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English.

Kalki 2898 AD boasts a massive budget of ₹600 crore and features a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. Disha Patani, Saswata Chatterjee, and Shobhana also play pivotal roles, with Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, and Mrunal Thakur making cameo appearances in the film.

On a Sunday night, Amitabh Bachchan enjoyed a movie outing with his son Abhishek Bachchan and friends. Taking to his blog, he shared a series of pictures from their movie date, revealing that it was his first time watching Kalki 2898 AD in theaters since its release. They attended a late-night show, and the photos capture the father-son duo thoroughly enjoying the film.

“A Sunday of Sundays… first, well-wishers at GOJ and then to Kalki with some friends to see it on the big screen… seeing the film for the first time… Had not been out for years… but so satisfying to witness all the progress…” he wrote on his blog. Amitabh’s performance left Abhishek speechless, with the latter writing, “#Kalki2898AD = mind blown emoji. Wow!
