Chhota Bheem is one of India’s most beloved animated superhero series, and now it’s set to make its grand debut on the big screen as an action-packed motion picture. On Thursday, March 14, the creators released the teaser for ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan
The mythical tale takes place in the ancient dystopian village of Dholakpur, filled with mystery, adventure, valor, and heroism. The one-minute and ten-second teaser showcases Bheem, fondly known as Chhota Bheem, as the guardian of Dholakpur
Veteran actor Anupam Kher takes on the role of Guru Sambhu in the film. The teaser opens with aerial shots of Dholakpur, the fictional town central to both the cartoon and the film. A voiceover reveals that Dholakpur was once a peaceful haven until it was targeted by malevolent forces. The clip indicates that only Bheem has the power to save the village now.

The teaser then transitions to the sinister realm of the serpent king, Damyaan, whose goal is to shatter the village’s peace. In addition to the action sequences, sorcery is depicted using visual effects.
It also presents Bheem’s companions — Chutki, Raju, Jaggu, Kalia, Dholu, Bholu, and Indumati
Young actor Yagya Bhasin portrays the lead character in ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’. Makarand Deshpande also has a significant role. Aashriya Mishra takes on the character of Chutki, while Surabhi Tiwari plays Tuntun Mausi. Rajiv Chilaka returns as the director for the film. Its release is scheduled for May 24, 2024. The movie is helmed and produced by Rajiv Chilaka, who serves as the co-founder and CEO of Green Gold Animations, headquartered in Hyderabad. Rajiv is also the creative mind behind several cartoons, including the Krishna cartoon series and Chhota Bheem, which has been adapted into an animated series. “Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan” is slated for a theatrical release on May 24.
